Privacy Policy

Who we are: PHLbloggers is an LLC whose mission is to support the networking and education of bloggers. We are based in Philadelphia, PA, and started in 2014, with an official LLC introduction in 2016.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

  • Squarespace collects data related to sales, traffic, traffic sources, popular content, geography, purchase funnel, abandoned cart, google search keywords, other search keywords, site search queries, RSS subscribers, and an activity log. Here is a copy of Squarespace's privacy policy. PHLbloggers does not use this information.
  • We use a Squarespace form connected to Mailchimp for our Become a Member site. There is a double opt-in on that form. Information is collected and stored until you unsubscribe from the mailing list or are removed due to lack of engagement (which will only be done with multiple email warnings). Here is Mailchimp's privacy policy. This information is only used to send monthly-ish newsletters and is not shared with any third parties without explicit consent.
  • If you purchase through our site, the order number, date, customer name, email address, total cost, payment, and status are collected through Squarespace. This information is used to send you the item you purchased and for tax purposes. No email addresses are added to our mailing list.
  • Personal information is collected if you contact us through one of our collaborate or sponsorship forms. This information is stored indefinitely or until you request its removal from our list. We use this information to reply to the specific request, as well as to reach out with future sponsorship possibilities. Your email address is not added to any mailing lists without your explicit consent. In most cases, we ask you to email phlbloggersATgmailDOTcom directly.

Who we share your data with: Your data is not shared with anybody besides the PHLbloggers team without explicit consent.

How long we retain your data: Data is retained until users ask us directly to remove it from our lists.

What rights you have over your data: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
